Murter - 14 days to the south

Day 1. Murter – Murter is one of three bigger settlements on the island of the same name, with bridge near Tisno connecting  the Adriatic coast with this island. Murter was first mentioned in 15th century. Because of its good location, in the bay Hramina was built marina with 400 berths and 250 places for boats on the ground. Nicely arranged beaches and hotels are a part of a near-by bay Slanica - an ideal place for those who enjoy peace and quiet vacation. Murter has also an excellent gastronomy offer and miscellaneous sports activities, therefore it is a destination adequate for a family vacation and sails-men who choose Murter to be their departure port in cruise through Kornati.

 

 

Day 2. Zlarin – Island of Zlarin as a part of Sibenik archipelago, is the closest to Sibenik. Not many Croatian citizens now much about this beautiful island. This true paradise, known for its corals (although, famous Zlarin corals are found around Kornati area) is yet to be discovered – by you!

 

 

Day 3. Rogoznica – a small fisherman town, located in a deep bay, hidden from blows of an open sea. Because of its great location (34 km south from Sibenik and 34 km north from Split airport), numerous historical monuments, natural beauties, Rogoznica was always and still is one of the most wanted and most attractive touristic destinations on the Adriatic coast. Rogoznica offers to its visitors peace and a great vacation, partly because of an impression of a quiet and peaceful Mediterranean place. If you are one of the sea and boat lovers, exploring the eternal mysteries of the sea, well protected harbour will give you opportunity to rest. We recommend you to visit cave Milina and enjoy in the beauties of a lake, a natural phenomenon, as a part of this unique unity.

 

 

Day 4.  Trogir – Trogir  is an ideal place to continue your cruise. This Dalmatian, with medieval walls surrounded charming town will give you your best, first experience with the Dalmatian culture, customs and food.

ACI marina Trogir is located in the northern coast of island Ciovo. Marina has 162 berths and 35 boat places on the ground and it is open all year round.

 

 

Day 5. Milna (island of Brac) – This little and tipical adriatic town is located in the bottom of a bay on the western part of the island. This is one of the best protected marinas on the Adriatic coast. It is well adorned and opened all year round. Marina Milna gives all nautics possibility to enjoy beauties of unique coast.

ACI marina Milna is located in the southeastern part of Milna bay, opposite to the town of Milna. The marina has 144 berths and 15 boat places on the ground.

 

 

Day 6. Komiza (island of Vis) – Located in the deep bay on the western coast of Vis island, in the foot of Hum hill, Komiza attracts tourists from all around the world. We recommend you to see: castle from 15th century, St. Nichola´s monastery from 13th century better known as Muster, romanic church from 13th century and rich wine cellar Podspilja. 

 

 

Day 7. Vis (island of Vis) – this charming town on the island of the same name, where one culture followed the other, was known in ancient Greek and roman time as Issa. Today, Vis is a real nautical paradise. For all culture lovers, during a season time, Vis offers you numerous concerts as a part of Vis musical evenings. Archaeological museum located in a 19th century fortress gives you a pleasure to enjoy the treasures of antique Issa. Numerous restaurants and taverns will offer you some of the best fish specialties in this part of Dalmatia. Enjoy! 

 

 

Day 8. Vela Luka – Vela Luka is a place on Korcula island, built in local variation manners of Mediterranean architecture by the end of 19th century. Vela Luka gives you a great protection in its very own port. While staying in Vela Luka, you should visit chapel of St. Kuzma and Damjan (11th century), chapel of St. John the Baptist (15th century) and a charming chapel of St. Vincenco (16th century). Islets Osjak and Proizd with numerous hidden bays, small beaches and crystal blue sea are ideal swimming location on your cruise. 

 

 

Day 9. Palmizana (island of Hvar) – Palmizana is a small island, near-by Hvar, in the southern part of the Adriatic sea. This area hides a great wealth of antique ship-wrecks and amphores, and sea is rich with fish, corals and intact, extremely clean underworld.

ACI marina Palmizana is located in the bay of the same name, in the northeastern coast of St. Clements island. Marina provides 160 berths and it is open from April to October. 

 

 

Day 10. Stari Grad (island of Hvar)– Stari Grad is one of the oldest cities in the world, and definitely the oldest town on the island of Hvar – an island of sun, lavender and wine, an island with 130 years of organized tourism. Because of its great location – coast and fields of lavender and vineyards on the one side, and sea on the other – Stari Grad is one of the most visited summer resort on the whole Adriatic coast. Thousand year old history of this town has left numerous monuments in the very own city center, which makes makes him a touristic and historical center of the whole island.

 

 

Day 11. Maslinica  – Maslinica is a small fishermans place, established in 1703., when a Marchi family built a castle as a defense from pirates. It is located in the western part of island of Solta, in the bay of the sam name. As a touristic destination, Maslinica is very attractive for those who enjoy untouched nature, beaches and crystal blue sea. Therefore, this is an ideal destination for all sails-men.

 

 

Day 12. Primosten – Sailors named this town «suha punta» (dry port) because of its long-lasting dry periods, and its inhabitants called it Primosten. Located on an island, surrounded by seven islets, Primosten is a true gift from nature. Once a fishermen place, today Primosten has grown into a true touristic paradise. It is hard to resist a charm that Primosten has to offer. Enjoy the true spirit of Dalmatia.

 

 

Day 13. Kaprije (Borovnjaci) – Island of Kaprije is located in the central part of Sibenik archipelago. Kaprije got its name from Mediterranean vegetable “kapara”, which is used as a spice. Kaprije have only one habitation wit only 100 inhabitants. One post-office, ambulance and only a few markets make this island a great choice for those who want peaceful and quiet vacation.

 

 

Day 14. Piskera (Kornati) – Kornati, one of the most beautiful archipelago in the world, are true nautical adventure. Because of its remarkable landscape, interesting geomorphology and rich flora, in 1980. Kornati were declared as a National Park. As a part of Kornati, Piskera is one of the most interesting and most beautiful island of this archipelago, because of its pure and magnificent nature.

ACI marina Piskera is located between islands Piskera and Panitula vela, and offers a great wind protection. The marina has 120 berths. Water and stream provision is limited.
