Rogoznica - 14 days to the south
Day 1. Rogoznica – a small fisherman town, located in a deep bay, hidden from blows of an open sea. Because of its great location (34 km south from Sibenik and 34 km north from Split airport), numerous historical monuments, natural beauties, Rogoznica was always and still is one of the most wanted and most attractive touristic destinations on the Adriatic coast. Rogoznica offers to its visitors peace and a great vacation, partly because of an impression of a quiet and peaceful Mediterranean place. If you are one of the sea and boat lovers, exploring the eternal misteries of the sea, well protected harbour will give you opportunity to rest. Day 2. Maslinica – Maslinica is a small fishermans place, established in 1703., when a Marchi family built a castle as a defence from pirates. It is located in the western part of island of Solta, in the bay of the sam name. As a turistic destination, Maslinica is very attractive for those who enjoy untouched nature, beaches and cristal blue sea. Therefore, this is an ideal destination for all sailsmen.
Day 3. Trogir – Trogir is an ideal place to continue your cruise. This Dalmatian, with medieval walls surrounded charming town will give you your best, first experience with the Dalmatian culture, customs and food.
ACI marina Trogir is located in the northern coast of island Ciovo. Marina has 162 berths and 35 boat places on the ground and it is open all year round.
Day 4. Milna (island of Brac) – This little and tipical adriatic town is located in the bottom of a bay on the western part of the island. This is one of the best protected marinas on the Adriatic coast. It is well adorned and open all year round. Marina Milna gives to all nautics a possibility to enjoy beauties of unique coast.
ACI marina Milna is located in the southeastern part of Milna bay, opposite to the town of Milna. The marina has 144 berths and 15 boat places on the ground.
Day 5. Komiza (island of Vis) – Located in the deep bay on the western coast of Vis island, in the foot of Hum hill, Komiza attracts tourists from all around the world. We recommend you to see: castle from 15th cetntury, St. Nichola´s monastery from 13th century better known as Muster, romanic church from 13th century and rich wine cellar Podspilja.
Day 6. Vis (island of Vis) – this charming town on the island of the same name, where one culture followed the other, was known in ancient greek and roman time as Issa. Today, Vis is a real nautical paradise. For all culture lovers, during a season time, Vis offers you numerous concerts as a part of Vis musical evenings. Archelogical museum located in a 19th century fortress gives you a pleasure to enjoy the treasures of antique Issa. Numerous restorans and taverns will offer you some of the best fish specialities in tih part of Dalmatia. Enjoy!
Day 7. Vela Luka – Vela Luka is a place on Korcula island, bulit in local variation manners of Mediterranean architecture by the end of 19th century. Vela Luka gives you a great protection in its very own port. While staying in Vela Luka, you should visit chapel of St. Kuzma and Damjan (11th century), chapel of St. John the Baptist (15th century) and a charming chapel of St. Vincenco (16th century). Islets Osjak and Proizd with numerous hidden bays, small beaches and cristal blue sea are ideal swimmnig location on your cruise.
Day 8. Lastovo – This island is maybe the last piece of a true Mediterran with its intact nature, traditional architecture, helthy and fresh food, cristal blue sea and wine that roman emperors used to drink. According to the World Wealth Foundation (WWF), Lastovo is one of ten Mediterranean paradise gardens. Also, Lastovo seems to be a lonely island because of its great distance from the Dalmatian coast. Almost four ceturies Lastovo keeps its tradition of common festival – Poklad, as a veneration of St. Jure for helping people of Lastovo against the pirates.
Day 9. Pomena (island of Mljet) – Welcome to Pomena, town and port located on the western part of the island of Mljet (part of this island is proclaimed as a National ParK), surrounded by pine woods. If you want to enjoy summer happenings of Dubrovnik, but still keep your own piece and quietude, Pomena is a great choice.
Day 10. Town of Korcula - town of Korcula was built by the constructors, architects and sculptors from 15th, 16th and 17th century from stone from Vrnika (an islet near-by Korcula). This famous stone from Korcula is built in Aja-Sofija in Istanbul and White House in Washington. The house of Marko Polo is one among many monuments one must see. Today, Korcula is a true city-sculpture, city of history..a great place to visit.
ACI marina Korcula is located in a little bay, eastern from the town Korcula. It is well protected with dike n its northern side. Marina provides 159 berths and 16 boat places on the ground, and it is open all year round. All berths are supplied with water and electricity.
Day 11. Loviste (Peljesac)
- Peninsula Peljesac, located in southern part of Dalmatia, parallel
with Adriatic coast, between Neretva bay on the north and Malostonski
bay in the east, Bay of Mljet on the south and Peljesac canal in the
west. Peljesac is second biggest peninsula (the biggest is Istra) and
surrounded with many beautiful islands and islets. The largest number of
them is located arround bays in which ports like Drace
and Brijesta are located. Peljesac has around 9000 inhabitants with
cultivation, olive-culture and tourism ans their primary activities.
Loviste is a small fishermen place, only 17km from Orebic. It is an
ideal choice for those who want peaceful and quiet vacations.
Day 12. Hvar (island of Hvar)
- City of Hvar is located in the pitoresque, and sunny natural
enviroment in the southern part of the island. Today, city of Hvar is an
ideal choice for all nature- and sea-lovers from all around the world.
Day 13. Palmizana (island of Hvar) – Palmizana is a smll island, near-by Hvar, in the southern part of the Adriatic sea. This area hides a great wealth of antique ship-wrecks and amphores, and sea is rich with fish, corals and intact, extremly clean underworld.
ACI marina Palmizana is located in the bay of the same name, in the northeastern coast of St. Clements island. Marina provides 160 berths and it is open from april to october.
Day 14. Stari Grad and Jelsa (island of Hvar)– Stari Grad is one of the oldest cities in the world, and definately the oldest town on the island of Hvar – an island of sun, lavander and wine, an island with 130 years of organised tourism. Because of its great location – coast and fields of lavander and wineyards on the one side, and sea on the other – Stari Grad is one of the most visited summer resort on the whole Adriatic coast. Thousand year old history of this town has left numerous monuments in the very own city center, which makes makes him a touristic and historical center of the whole island.
Jelsa - Located in the central part of the island of Hvar, clean, friendly and most important architectural beautiful, Jelsa is an important touristic center on the northern coast of a center part of this island. This charming town, surrounded by pines, beautiful beaches, vineyards and olive-yards, give Jelsa an attractive power. Jelsa used to be one of the biggest and most important martime, ship-building and commercial centers on the Adriatic sea. All transatlantic sailing-boats, loaded with best wines, olive-oil and salted fish began their sailing from Jelsa, a harbour of aknowledged sailors (captain Niko Dubokovic). Jelsa is first mentioned in 14th century, but some archeological discoveries testify about its long history.
