Sibenik - 7 days to the north

Day 1. Sibenik - Welcome to Sibenik - a city that successfully combines its glorious past with its gift of natural beauty. While sightseeing in this city you will surely be impressed by the well-known cathedral Sv. Jakov, the most important renaissance structure in Croatia. A city, whose name was spoken by kings, Mother Nature has provided with a wealth of islands and islets encompassed by blue sea, as well as the fascinating landscape of Krka National Park. Here you will find that every hour will be filled with a variety of activities!

 


Day 2. Zlarin – Island of Zlarin as a part of Sibenik archipelago, is the closest to Sibenik. Not many croatian citizens now much about this beautiful island. This true paradise, known for its corals (although, famous Zlarin corals are found around Kornati area) is yet to be discovered – by you!

 

 

Day 3. Ravni Zakan - This small island of Kornati archipelago is your ideal destination for taking pleasure in swimming, sunbathing and intact nature. We recommend you to take a walk on an island path in order to enjoy the beautiful view towards Kornati.

 

 

Day 4. Telascica and Zut (Kornati) -  Telascica is one of the biggest, safest and certainly the prettiest Croatian natural harbors, a favorite nautical destinations. It is a natural extention of National Park Kornati, but also greener and with more woods. The bay is located in the southern part of Dugi otok, 8200 m long with 25 bays, 5 islets, extremely indented coast 68 km long with remarkable entrance, surrounded by 14 islets. From one side, bay is not visible because it is snug by tall and steep cliffs from Dugi otok. Telascica also has a natural phenomenon – salt lake Mir, usualy warmer than sea. Bay Telascica is well protected from all sides, and has always been a safe anchor. 

Zut  – This, second largest island of Kornati archipelago, is only 15 km away from Murter and Zadar. The people of Murter are its owners since 1885. Zut is a true paradise for all sailors and sea-lovers.

 


Day 5. Murter and Tribunj – Murter is one of three bigger settlements on the island of the same name, with bridge near Tisno connecting the Adriatic coast with this island. Murter was first mentioned in 15th century. Because of its good location, in the bay Hramina was built marina with 400 berths and 250 places for boats on the ground. Nicely arranged beaches and hotels are a part of a near-by bay Slanica - an ideal place for those who enjoy peace and quiet vacation. Murter has also an excellent gastronomy offer and miscellaneous sports activities, therefore it is a destination adequate for a family vacation and sails-men who choose Murter to be their departure port in cruise through Kornati.

Tribunj – This tipical Dalmatian town has only 1400 inhabitants. People of Tribunj are mostly fishermen and are well known for they famous olive-oil. For centuries this place has preserved its architectural inheritance, that gives Tribunj a typical Dalamtian ambiance -  stone houses and narrow, charming streets. Near Tribunj are located most beautiful beaches on the this coast. New, modern marina Tribunj provides 270 berths and safety place for your boat. 

 

 

Day 6. Vodice  - One of the biggest touristic destination on the Adriatic coast, known for its numerous contents. Vodice were first mentioned in 1402. One of the most important historical monuments in Vodice are: church of St. Kriz located on the old graveyard, built in 1421.; baroque church from 1746.

ACI marina Vodice is located in the northeastern part of port Vodice (bay Vrulje). It is open all year round, and has 290 berths and 60 boat places on the ground.

 

 

Day 7. Skradin  – Welcome to Skradin, pearl of nature, cultural and monumental inheritance. This, in world unique beauty is part of National Park Krka. Sisterly connected with Krka, surrounded by pine, juniper, cypress and olive-woods, Skradin has always been an oasis of peace and beauty, of great and turbulent history. Located on the right coast of river Krka, with its charm of a monument-city, Skradin is an attractive touristic destination, unavoidable maritime and continental destination. Skradin is an entrance in the National Park «Krka», and ACI marina Skradin is located in the bay, north-west from the Skradin harbor. Because of the fresh-water in the Marina, sailors gladly leave their boats here during the winter time. Marina provides 153 berths with water and power supply.
