In spite of all odds, the economic crisis  in particular, the nautical sector is yielding positive results. We hope that the small Croatian shipbuilding industry will once again occupy the position of one of the most important factors in the nautical economy, said on the occasion of the opening of the 15th International Boat Show, the Croatia Boat Show, Ivo Basic, adviser to Croatian minister of tourism.

The Show is taking place in Split from 17-21 April 2013 and has gathered around 90 exhibitors and 100 boats  at its traditional location, the waterfront ( the so-called "Splitska riva" ). At the opening of the Show one of the speakers, Bosko Ercegovac, who is a chief officer at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure spoke about the novelites in the new Maritime Code, the most important of which is the equalization of rights and obligations of domestic and foreign sailors who visit the Adriatic.

He explained how this relates to the rights, benefits and obligations that will be implemented from the beginning of 2014. Ercegovac added that Croatia's entry into the EU will open up many new opportunities that we have to recognize and take advantage of in the best possible way.

Visitors and afficionados can visit the Show today and tomorrow, when it closes officially.
