CEO of ACI Ltd. Bruno Bonifacic and national president of the Italian nautical association Lega Navale Italiana, Admiral Franco Paoli, on April 17, 2013 in the Italian town of Monfalcone signed a document on strategic cooperation between the two great maritime systems on the two shores of the Adriatic, announced ACI this Sunday.

"With this agreement the ACI Club members and members of the Lega Navale Italiana will take advantage of a special system of benefits in up to 107 marinas on both sides of the Adriatic that has over 14,000 berths. The details concerning the benefits the boaters can enjoy will be announced during the events related to the program marking the 30th anniversary of establishment of ACI, in the same year in which Croatia is formally becoming a member of the EU, " it is said in a statement.

Among other things, it is being stated that ACI and Lega Navale Italiana during the signing of the agreement also discussed other projects in the field of tourism and cultural promotion of nautical tourism, as well as projects concerning joint activities and sea activities for children and people with disabilities.

It is particularly emphasized that this agreement marks a beginning of a new development cycle that includes modernization of business practices and expansion of network locations in Croatia as well as a move into the overseas markets as was announced earlier in the media by Bruno Bonifa?i?.

Lega Navale Italiana is a nautical association founded in 1897. It is a non-profit organization under the auspices of the Italian president, and now has the role of the Office for culture and environmental with activities in the field of social promotion and promotion of activities related to recreation and water sports, the statement stressed.

Lega Navale Italiana has 250 sections, 60,000 members and 14,000 vessels located in 85 marinas with over 8,000 berths on the Italian coast of the Adriatic Sea.

The Croatian ACI, on the other hand, consists of 22 one-berth marinas and a total area of 1,274.4 square kilometers of maritime property on the Croatian Adriatic coast and islands. Its water mass is 872.9 km2 and land mass 374.5 km2. In 2012, 84,500 vessels sailed into ACI marinas and made 107,608 ship-days and hosted more than 400,000 foreign and local boaters.
