Šime Fantela and Igor Marenic rank fourth in the category world's top Olympic duo!

Croatia made it to the top ten in the world in two disciplines and is among top five in the top 20, the World Sailing Federation has announced, with Šime Fantela and Igor Marenic as our best representatives

  Šime Fantela and Igor Marenic are our best representatives in the category Olympic duo, given that they are now no. 4. Croatia has made it to the top ten in the world in two disciplines and is among top five in the top 20, the World Sailing Federation has announced.

  Šime Fantela and Igor Marenic are in a stable 4. place in the category world's top Olympic duo, which is a position they also held  at the end of 2012. The first crew in the world are the Australians Belcher / Page. Progress by seven positions has been achieved by Pavle Kostov and Petar Cupa?, who are 10. in the Skiff category, which is one of their best achievements in the world rankings so far.

  In the female singles Tina Mihelic is in 11. place, which is a few places lower than end of 2012. A number of Croatian juniors have also won points on the world scale: Antonella Kacan is 143., Anja Hamerlitz is 148., Ana Zeli? is 173., Nikolina Prtenja?a is 185., etc.. The Australian Krystal Weir are the current no. 1.

  Tonci Stipanovic has fallen by several positions in the men's competition and ranks 15. Daniel Mihelic is 45., Milan Vujasinovic is 46., Filip Jurišic is 55., Ivan Taritaš is 63. Australian skipper Tom Burton currently rankd no.1. In the category female twins Enia Nincevic and Roman Prefect are 18. (which is an improvement by two places), and the fleet is led by the Brazilians Oliveira / Barbachan.

  Given that last year's regatta sailed quite a bit of the World Cup and concentrated more on the European Championship and World Championship, and due to preparations for the Olympics Ivan Kljakovic Gašpic ranks slightly lower in the world rankings in the category Olympic single and is now in 30. place. Ivan Olujic is 44. and Tudor Bilic is 67. Australian Brandon Casey is the current no.1.

  The next charts will be released on 8 April, after the World Cup regatta in Spain, which Croatian sailors will also take part in.
