Miami Boat Show 2014

This year the world's biggest boat show, the Miami Boat Show, was held from 14 to 17 February in Miami. Apart from the fact that it grew by 20% it will be mostly remembered for its stunning display of large engines and boats.

The largest boat show in the United States, the Miami Boat Show, which took place from 13 to 17 February 2014 brought together as many as 2000 exhibitors and about 3,000 vessels. This year the number of visitors comprised some 100,000 people.
However, this is around 6% less visitors than last year-not due to the economic crisis but due to a snow storm which this year engulfed much of the United States.
This year downtown Miami and Miami Beach were truly marked by a prestigious boat show.
The offer included everything from small kayaks through accompanying accessories to superyachts longer than 150 feet, whose total cost exceeds a staggering sum of several billion dollars.
Among luxury yachts the boats that attracted most attention were the Benetti model Petrus II (a super-yacht with two outdoor Jacuzzis) and one of the biggest ever made catamarans, La Sella del Diavolo.
No less impressive was the catamaran Gunboat 60 whose cockpit resembles a helicopter Helicat, and the family type yacht Sea-Doo Spark.
In addition, the most innovative examples in the category of supporting equipment included a marine toilet Dungaroo.
This toilet does not need water, electricity or pumps and is supplied with antibacterial bags for waste processing, which can be thrown out after 30 uses.
